This place is great. The owner is so helpful and kind. You can buy wood right from him. Can't start your fire? No problem. He's got a flame thrower that you will be welcome to use. Easy to find location yet isolated. A great experience overall!
We visited Mossy Point Campground last summer and were EXTREMELY happy with the campground and the owner. The camp sites are HUGE and the prices are very reasonable. We fit our fifth wheel and pop up camper in one site and kept the other for our vehicles! We love Mossy Point and can't wait to come back this summer!
Bare bones camp site and a little run down. Set your expectations to this and you will be fine. Rough roads are not good for biking, only amenities are a few ports potties and rusty old RV at entrance. On the + side: large lots, clean water, only a few lots so its quiet and you FEEL like you are in nature!
Campgrounds are a decent size...public bathroom was a porta potty, Staff no where to be found.
We stayed here for a weekend back in june. We loved it here. It's so quite and peaceful with an awesome woodsy setting. We did stay in a camper so we had our own shower and toilet so I definatley did not check out the amenities. The owner was super nice and spoke with him a few times during our stay. Definatley wonderful customer service!! We will definatley stay here again! Thanks for making our weekend pleasant and memorable!!
